Lance Crosby has a big job for a big company. He's the former SoftLayer CEO who is now CEO and GM of the SoftLayer group within IBM(s ibm). Compared to Amazon and Google, IBM, despite (or perhaps because of?) it's sheer size and storied history, is seen as an underdog in this arena but Crosby brings with him SoftLayer's credibility among web-generation companies -- the sorts of companies that flocked to Amazon Web Services.
He also has some interesting thoughts on how the cloud vendor situation will sort itself out in the next few years. So take a listen and then come back for more when Crosby speaks Structure in on June 18.
