This month Apple will start selling T-Mobile smartphone plans as well as AT&T(s t) prepaid plans in its stores as an option for customers who buy an unlocked iPhone, according to a new report from 9to5Mac.

While Apple for a while has been activating AT&T(s t), Verizon(s vz) and Sprint(s s) iPhones with contracts in store, T-Mobile was always an exception since it no longer offers contracts. Apple today will sell you an unlocked iPhone with a T-Mobile SIM, but you have to sign up for service separately with T-Mobile.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple is making a larger prepaid push to drive more iPhone purchases through its stores, where it can upsell customers on other Apple products and accessories. Apple will sell T-Mobile regular Simple Choice plans and AT&T's GoPhone prepaid activation kits, 9to5Mac reported.
